Correct usage of dental floss:
- Make a loop on a piece of floss 20-25cm long.
- Hold the floss with the thumbs and index fingers.
- Put your finger tips close to the tooth surfaces and move the floss back and forth until it is lodged in the inter-dental area.
- Warp around the surface of one tooth by the floss, until it goes down the lowest point of the gum crevice. Then moved the floss up and down against the surface to wipe off the dental plaque.
- Do the same on the opposite tooth's surface.
- Repeat the above steps for all tooth surfaces.
